1. Raven Rex, A large five-color image with 14 pieces of hand-cut iridescent abalone shell appliqué. It portrays a noble Raven, the principle culture hero of the Northwest Coast, standing before a classic flat frontal formline chest design of a second Raven figure on a box reminiscent of the one that Raven is said to have stolen the sun from. Within the Raven image itself is a compact formline version of Raven as a half-human half-Raven figure holding a golden sun image. Limited to 96 works on hand-cut Arches 100% rag paper, archival, 37 X 32 1/2, 1997. $1,150.
