19. Skana, the Haida word for killer whale is used to name this two-color serigraph featuring a high dorsal fin decorated with the stylized form of a shaman. He represents the transformative nature of killer whales traditionally believed to live in submarine villages and to take the form of people at will. A salmon rides within the belly of the killer whale that is throughout rendered in the classic formline style of the Northwest Coast . Limited to 195, 22 X 30 on archival 100% cotton stock. 1994. $200.
