31. The Prevailing Wind, the southeast wind is the prevailing wind on the Northwest Coast. In this serigraph the wind is anthropomorphized as a human figure blowing up a storm of wind and sea in which are caught the figures of an eagle and a whale. This serigraph was featured in color in Northwest Coast Indian Graphics , University of Washington Press by Hall and Blackman, 1981. Four colors on archival stock, 25 X 17 ½, 1978, $300. Sold Out. |
