33. Land Otter Man, Kushdaka is the Tlingit word for this creature renowned for its intelligence and playfulness to much of the world. However, among many people of the Northwest Coast the land otter is a fearful creature whose gaze can steal someone's soul and who always represents the blanched soul of a being who has been lost in the woods or at sea. That figure lies within this land otter who is further characterized by the weirdly Quattro cento left-hand of a human being. Two colors on Arches all-cotton archival stock, 11 X 30. 1979. Sold Out.
