34. Raven Ascending, In his beak he holds an elaborate humanoid image of the sun just plucked from the box over which his Raven's talons are arced. It is Raven about to take flight up through the smoke hole of Grandfather's house where the sun has been kept out of sight leaving the world in darkness. This serigraph thus references one of the grandest of all Northwest Coast myths. Two colors on non-archival stock, 21 X 28 1/2. 1976. Sold out.
